Opportunities for Manufacturing in Mexico
Mexico is an established and growing manufacturing base in North America. According to Bloomberg, there is growing demand by US manufacturers seeking to onshore and nearshore their manufacturing operations, due to rising costs of supply chain disruption. Global companies such as Foxconn, automotive manufacturers and component makers have stepped up their investments into Mexico.
With lower labour costs, open trade agreements, attractive incentives, access to skilled workforce, and relatively short supply chains with the US, Mexico’s mature manufacturing ecosystem is well placed to capture the new opportunities.
