For many years now, American Association of Singapore has hosted an annual talk for newbies based on our ever-popular book, now in it’s 15th edition. The book is written by expats for expats and literally has everything you need to know about life in Singapore.

We will invite three authors from the book to give a short presentation to help you settle in. Our staff will also be on hand to answer questions. Some of us are Singaporean. Others of us are expats who have been here a long time. Together, we can help answer any question you might have about life on the Little Red Dot.

Jyoti Angresh will give you the low down on Singapore’s heritage and culture scene. Jyoti has also lived in Singapore for many years and is heavily involved in the cultural scene here when she’s not teaching yoga or writing.

Dr. Steven Tucker will talk about health considerations  in Singapore from battling the heat to avoiding dengue. Dr. Tucker is a practicing medical oncologist, Dr. Steven Tucker founded Tucker Medical in 2011.

Glenn van Zutphen will speak on life in general in Singapore. Glenn, a journalist and professional speaker by trade, has lived here for many years and knows Singapore inside and out. You can hear Glenn on Saturday mornings on MoneyFM.

Registration includes a free copy of Living in Singapore 15th Edition Reference Guide and a glass of wine.
