Two Pillars of the Swiss Community Unite to Celebrate
Jointly organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in Singapore and the Swiss Club Singapore, the Swiss National Day celebration will take place in the lush tropical grounds of the Swiss Club. Building on the success of previous years’ memorable events, this patriotic celebration of all things Swiss promises a full evening of enjoyment, Swiss fare, wines, beverages, music and dancing.
Hightlights include:
- Traditional live music by the Swiss Alpine Lions brass band
- Apero (pre-dinner drinks) of Swiss red and white wines serves on the lawn, sponsored by the Embassy of Switzerland
- Broadcast of the Swiss President’s message
- Sumptuous appetiser, main and dessert buffet spread with raclatte station
- Traditional lampion parade for the children and a festive bonfire
- Lucky draw with attractive prizes
A Toast to the Future and A Tribute to Tradition
The apero of excellent Swiss red and white wines, generously sponsored by the Embassy of Switzerland, will limber up the vocal chords for the singing of the Swiss National anthem, the Schweizerpsalm (also known as the Swiss Psalm). It is sung come rain or shine on the lawn of the Swiss Club, accompanied by the booming notes of the Swiss Alpine Lions, an acclaimed 10-piece band of seasoned musicians who have been playing together for more than 15 years.
