National Day Parade (NDP)
Singapore’s National Day falls on August 9th and the National Day Parade (NDP) is a commemoration of Singapore’s Independence. One of Singapore’s much anticipated annual events, the NDP witnesses close to 25,000 spectators every year. Held at the Marina Bay, the celebrations include pre-parade light-hearted filler events, followed by the actual parade and ceremonies including the popular Presidential Gun Salute and culminate into a Grand Finale which is a 45-minute show segment, followed by an impressive fireworks display. The atmosphere is charged and most spectators sport the National Flag’s colors of red and white. One of Asia’s longest-running annual dance music festival, ZoukOut, brings Asia’s best nightclub and the 4th ranked nightclub in the world, Zouk, to the great outdoors.
